Product Properties - Iron Silicon Alloy is a convenient way to add silicon as an alloying element to improve various properties of the final steel.


Slag Reduction - In stainless steel manufacturing, the presence of silicon reduces chromium oxide in the melt, improving the recovery of metallic chromium.


Deoxidation - Ferrosilicon 75 rapidly removes oxygen from the melt, avoiding the presence of oxide inclusions and avoiding the loss of desired elements.


Fuel - Some steel mills add Fe Silicon to the melt to burn it for heat into the furnace, reducing energy costs.
